First off, I’m not here to simply say ‘book me, book me’. I’m here to outline why hiring a wedding stylist or planner (any wedding stylist or planner) can save you time, money and genuinely make your wedding better than you could ever have imagined.
I know there can be a lot of confusion between a wedding stylist, a wedding planner and a florist. I get it and sometimes it can be hard for us in the business to explain it properly, especially as a lot of the time they can cross over.
A planner will focus on the logistics, the timings, the finance. A florist focuses on the flowers and will work closely with a stylist, especially when it comes to the colour palette.
A stylist is there to bring those ideas in your head/on your Pinterest board to life in the most magical way possible.
What does a wedding stylist do?
A stylist will usually start with the initial design for the wedding. This is called a Roadmap and can detail everything from the main colour palette to the materials and feelings for the day. This will then work as your bible and other suppliers can also work from this, meaning all your suppliers are on the same page.
Who wants to spend hours, if not days spent googling and sifting through various different suppliers, not knowing who does what and what goes where. A stylist can do all that for you. They can create a completely bespoke list of suppliers that fit with your style and your budget, introducing you to companies that possibly would never have come across on your own. This can also include your venue! Wedding stylists are the best in the business of knowing exactly what venue fits with you as a couple.
Often a stylist has their own stock of props but will also need to hire in some for you, depending on what exactly you are after. They will be able to find the exact decor to fit your style and budget.
Once you have all your suppliers on board, your stylist will work tirelessly to bring it all together, setting it all up for you and often taking it down the next day.
So what are the benefits?
Time! Weddings take a long time to plan and by hiring a wedding stylist, you are able to get that time back to enjoy it all.
Another big one is stress. Something goes wrong on the day? The likelihood of you finding out is very slim. Your wedding day should be the best day of your life and by hiring a wedding stylist, you are guaranteeing it is.
